Nintendo Switch Pre-Orders Back In Selected Stores

Fans of the Nintendo Switch may heave a sigh of relief for now as the upcoming hybrid console is again available for pre-ordering in selected online stores in the United Kingdom.

The Nintendo Switch encountered a bit of controversy a few days after it was unveiled. A number of retail stores ceased offering the Switch for pre-ordering striking fear that there will not be enough units for everyone. Expectedly, images of empty shelves where the NES Classic Edition should come to mind. And indeed just like the rare mini NES, interested buyers should act quickly once they get news of the Switch's availability.

As of this writing, the much-hyped Nintendo Switch is available for pre-ordering at Amazon, and Game. Over at Amazon, the Switch console is priced at £279.99 per unit which translates to roughly $350 USD. Only the Grey version of the Switch is available at the popular online retailer which will cover the shipping costs to anywhere in mainland UK. Game has also made the Grey Switch available for pre-ordering at the same price as Amazon's. It also offers free shipping. Game has also indicated that it will limit the hybrid console to only one per customer. Game is also offering Nintendo Switch games and accessories for pre-ordering. The Nintendo Switch Wireless Pro Controller, for example, can be had for £64.99 or around $81 USD.

In the event that both retailers have sold out their Nintendo Switch allocation, fans will have no other recourse but to wait until they get confirmation as to whether more units will be allocated for them and other retail stores. A good way to keep track of the stock situation is to sign in to BrickSeek, NowInStock and other stock-tracking websites.

The Nintendo Switch is scheduled to drop in stores on Mar. 3 and the gaming company has expressed its intent to meet the targeted 2 million units that will be made available on the day of the launch.
