Finally, Connie will have her share of the spotlight as she will be the main focus on this week's episode titled “The New Crystal Gems”. While Steven and friends are having some good time, Connie will have her character tested.

Cartoon Network just posted a teaser for their latest episode of “Steven Universe” and it is very interesting, to say the least. “The New Crystal Gems” will feature Connie as the focal point of the story. She needs to make sure that the Beach City is in good hands while Steven is having the time of his life at Pink Diamond. According to some reports, the original plan was for Steven and his friends to stay a couple of hours at Pink Diamond but somehow, Steven is enjoying it, especially at the human zoo.

The New Crystal Gems Plot

Connie will not be alone in protecting the Beach City. She will be assisted by Lapis and Peridot. Although it is titled as “The New Crystal Gems,” there is no accurate info yet on who are they pertaining to as the new gems. Some fans suggest that it might be Lapis and Peridot getting their merits but still not sure.

For the past episodes, Connie has been mediocre and was not really part of anything. Thankfully, Cartoon Network and the creators of the show heard what the fans wanted for a long time. So when will Steven and the other gems return? That depends on Steven as he is somehow enjoying the zoo. Fans can catch the new episode this Friday at 7 PM.
