Lucio Skills In 'Heroes Of The Storm' Highlighted In A Video

A new hero had just recently been announced for Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm, and that's Overwatch's frog-loving DJ, Lucio. A new video has been released showcasing all of Lucio's skills for the game, and though some of them may be familiar, Lucio also gets a new type of attack for HotS.

Old And New Skills

The video showcases all of Lucio's classic moves like Wall Ride, Soundwave and Amp It Up. He even has the same technique where he can Crossfade between healing his allies and boosting their speed. His ultimate in Overwatch, Sound Barrier, has also made its way to HotS as a heroic ability.

His new move, however, is Reverse Amp, which tinkers with Lucio's Crossfade ability. With Reverse Amp, Lucio can still deal the same support he can with his teammates, but his enemies will also be affected either by losing HP or getting slower by 45 percent.

What's interesting in HotS is that Lucio doesn't need to aim his gun at his team to have his Boosts affect them. He simply radiates a circle, and everyone in range gets the effects of Lucio's boost. Wall Riding for Lucio also gives him a short boost of speed by 20 percent - very useful when it comes to running away from enemies. It's also worth mentioning that Lucio doesn't need to reload at all in-game.

Overwatch Heroes In HotS

Lucio is the third Overwatch hero to come to Heroes of the Storm after Zarya and Tracer. Aside from his classic skin, the video also teases the Ribbit (frog-head) skin from the original game, as well as a skin that looks exclusive to HotS.

According to Game Fragger, no official release date for Lucio has been announced by the devs, but he's sure to enter testing realm pretty soon. Meanwhile, Overwatch fans can enjoy playing with Tracer and Zarya in Heroes of the Storm.
