LG G6 News, Update: Rumors Suggest Flagship To Be Powered By More Than 3200 mAh Battery

LG's 2017 flagship, the LG G6, will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) on Feb. 26 with a promised better specs and features than its predecessor. Recent rumors implied that more than 3,200 mAh of battery would power the upcoming flagship.

A Better And Safer Battery

LG G6 will be equipped with a high capacity battery of more than 3,200 mAh, as reported by GSM Arena. The news came from a "senior official" at LG. The tipster leaked that the battery has the capacity to last around 12 hours on full charge, even when the user is browsing the internet impulsively. Unlike the LG G6's predecessor, which was powered by a 2,800 mAh battery.

The Korean company claimed that the battery is safe and does not overheat even at 150 degrees temperature. The spokesperson of LG Electronics, Lee Seok-Jong, confirmed that the company is conducting battery heat exposure tests to a higher temperature just to make sure that it is safe and of high quality, as more consumers are seeking for more reliable smartphones.

LG G6 Rumored Specs

According to Tech Radar, the LG G6 has a dimension of 148.8 x 72.3 x 8.3 mm. It has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a 5.7-inch display. The LG flagship has a screen resolution of 564 pixels per inch.

The upcoming LG G6 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor coupled with a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, unlike its predecessor, which came with a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor along with two low-power cores clocked at 1.59 GHz and two high-performance cores clocked at 2.15 GHz.

The upcoming LG G6 features a heat pipe cooling system to fight off the heating issue and to remove heat from the device. It also contains copper pipes that prevent the temperature by ten percent. Like most flagship phones today, the LG G6 is also said to come with an IP68 certification, which provides the device a dust and water resistance.
