Mafia 3 Developers Reveal Details About Their DLC 'Faster Baby!'

Mafia III is an action and adventure game developed by Hangar 13, and was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox On, and PC last Oct. 7, 2016. It tells the story of Lincoln Clay, who is a Vietnam Veteran, as he plans on building his own criminal empire. At the release of the game, critics and fans swarmed Mafia III and although a lot of them found the game's storyline and graphics incredible, some found the gameplay of Mafia III lacking. Hangar 13 understood the problem with the game and promised to release additional content and game improvements in the future.

Mafia III: Faster, Baby!

With the promise of additional content, Hangar 13 just released a trailer about the next Mafia III DLC, which they named "Faster, Baby!". In the trailer, people can see the developers talking about the improvements that are going to come with the said DLC. "Faster, Baby!" will be set in the town of Sinclair Parish where Lincoln fights a crooked Sheriff named Slim Beaumont with the help of Roxy Laveau.

In an article by J Station X, it was cleared that the story of Faster, Baby! is that Lincoln and Roxy will be fighting against Sheriff Slim who has been harassing civil rights activists. According to Hangar 13, Sinclair Parish is a town that protects itself in the wrong way.

What To Expect

The developers mentioned that in the DLC, players should expect to do a lot of stunt driving and missions that will require the player to drive like a mad man. Aside from the new location, character and story, players will also get two new outfits, two new cars, and a herbalism activity that allows Lincoln to grow marijuana to expand his empire.

Players would be able to slow down time while they are in a vehicle, as well as throw grenades or molotovs while on a vehicle too. Proximity mines will also be added to the weapons inventory of the game. Hangar 13 further clarified that these features of throwing explosives and slowing down time would still be available to players regardless if they purchase the DLC or not.

"Faster, Baby!" is set to be released on March 28, 2017. Hangar 13 still has plans to release other DLCs for the game. As they mentioned in the video, the next DLC "Stones Unturned" will be released on May, while "Sign of Times" will be released on July.
