‘Bungo Stray Dogs' Anime Gets Movie Adaptation And Stage Play

The popular supernatural manga and anime series, “Bungo Stray Dogs” will be getting an animated film adaptation. Aside from that, it is also getting its own stage play. The announcement was given just recently at a special event.

The franchise for “Bungo Stray Dogs” recently held a special event called, “Mayoi Inu-Tachi nno Utage Sono Ni” and it has revealed that the manga series is getting its own film project. Along with the good news, a poster was also released to hype fans. The stage play is reportedly good to go as well but the franchise has yet to finalize the details, which they will be announcing soon.

Though the production units have yet to tease what the movie and the stage play are about, fans have already given their speculations regarding the plot for the animated movie. Some have speculated that it might be a tie-in to the original manga series, a whole separate movie on some instances that were not discussed thoroughly in the original series and it could be something about the past. The original animated video (OVA) for “Bungo Stray Dogs” will be released on August 31 this year.

The anime television series adaptation of “Bungo Stray Dogs” ran for two seasons with a total of 24 episodes. The second season has left fans hanging and has somehow hinted that there will be a continuation. Though many have hoped that it would be a third season, an original video animation is better than nothing.

“Bungo Stray Dogs” is set in a story about supernatural individuals who possess various abilities. These gifted ones have put their powers to good use by putting up a business venture that involves mostly of solving mysteries and carrying out missions given out by the mafia. The story mainly follows the stories of the main characters that are part of the Armed Detective Agency.
