Telltale’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Game Plot Hinted During DICE 2017

Following DICE 2017, Marvel has shared some new information about their upcoming adaptation, Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy. The plot will focus on the characters and their journey that will be "new" to the franchise.

New Details Surrounding Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy

According to WWG, Marvel Games creative director Bill Rosemann revealed some new details about their upcoming Telltale adaptation and the Spiderman game. While both games have been announced in the past, there has been a scarcity of information regarding the two titles. Now, fans have something to expect following the few details he shared.

To begin with, Rosemann claimed that they are taking the Guardians game very seriously and are placing emphasis on each character. Because of this, the team plans to explore the cast's motives, who they and their overall background. Moreover, they also plan to explore the close relationship the four of them share together as a "family" or sort.

On the other hand, the game will feature a brand new story in the series. In line with this, the team will be on the hunt of an artifact that houses "unspeakable power." Although, they have yet to share any further details about this power or how they plan to narrate the overall plot.

Rumors About a Potential Release Window

That aside, the game might be releasing in the same month as the franchise's second movie. Furthermore, GameSpot reported that the Telltale adaptation is just one out of the other projects Marvel has signed up for. Fans should also look forward to the Avengers collaboration with Square Enix as they have posted a teaser video quite recently.

Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy will seemingly feature a new twist in the overall story that is unique even from the comics and movies. For now, fans will have to wait for more details regarding an official release date and gameplay mechanics. Alternatively, they can also watch the upcoming film which will be airing in a few months.
