The Rainbow Six Siege Technical Test Server Is Gearing For Some Exciting Things

Ubisoft has shared its upcoming plans for the Technical Test Server in Rainbow Six Siege. Moreover, it seems like there will also be a new map on the way soon.

Rainbow Six Siege Fixing Operators

According to SegmentNext, a Reddit post from Ubisoft confirmed that they are going to focus on restructuring the hitboxes for all the operators in the test server. Community manager Craig "ItsEpi" Robinson specifically claimed that they are planning on removing non-body parts (like clothing, pouches or accessories) from the Operator's hitbox.

There is a reason why some characters are not popular picks and one of them lies in this ongoing issue. One example would be Blitz, who has a large head hitbox despite his large shield. However, with Ubisoft finally taking action against this, there is no doubt it will ultimately affect the meta and see more characters plays.

Technical Test Server Hints At New Map

On the other hand, the test server will also be introducing a 1-Step Matchmaking feature which aims to "test the process of changing loadouts" while waiting for a game. Similarly, players have been going through the matchmaking preferences menu and have stumbled upon a new map called "Theme Park," as per PVP Live.

Despite this, the map is still unplayable and there have been no screenshots or anything that hint at its appearance. Even so, seeing as how the next season will take place in Hong Kong, many netizens believe that it could be based on the iconic Ocean Park. It is also worth noting that the said location is actually just minutes away from the Hong Kong Police College as well.

For now, fans will just have to wait for more information about any potential additions from Ubisoft. Rainbow Six Siege is now available to play on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Those who want to partake in the upcoming features can try the Technical Test Server.
