Even though they play two great friends on screen, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, their relation off screen is "frosty." Show bosses Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat apparently wanted to continue the TV series for years. However, Cumberbatch seems to be having a great time in Hollywood with his movie career. "The Imitation Game" and, more recently, "Doctor Strange" have hugely successful. The Mirror Online believes his Hollywood career might have ended the show.
