Xbox One vs PS4: Which Console Is The Best?

Both Xbox One and the PS4 have been popular to recent gamers, but which one deserves the title of the best console. Although Xbox One met a bunch of hurdles early on, Microsoft was able to turn it all around, improving its early specs and addressing concerns of its users. Meanwhile, Sony's PS4 did manage to get a surge of sales and was able to retain its satisfying rating.

Since a few years have already gone by, let's see how these two game consoles fare against each other in terms of hardware, software, specs and services. Interestingly, both consoles have done pretty well in the market nowadays. Since no other console rivals in the recent generation are so similar in terms of the mentioned elements of comparison, it's surprisingly hard to choose which one is the best.

In order to make the right choice on which console to buy, let's take a look at both the PS4 and Xbox One. In general, the PS4 is seen as the hardcore gamer’s choice. The hardware on this game device is slightly more powerful than the Xbox One. Smart people from Sony made the right call of focusing their product's software and interface on games, and not on making the console an entertainment hub.

According to  Tech Advisor, Microsoft made the mistake of making the Xbox One too focused on TV, movies and voice-controlled entertainment. Right now, the situation’s different as Xbox One has dropped its price. Microsoft also seems to have gotten the message that people generally buy consoles to play games.

In comparison, according to the Daily Star, there's no significant difference between Xbox One and the PS4. However, if you have to choose which is the best console to buy, your best bet is the PS4 as it edges the Xbox One by having slightly more satisfying graphical horsepower, the presence of much needed virtual reality support, and a more varied library of current and upcoming exclusive titles. Xbox One might be a little cheaper and has better entertainment features, but if you're a hardcore gamer, you'd want the power of the PS4.
