Sony's New PS4 Controller Is Huge! Literally

The DualShock 4 PlayStation 4 controller is the best controller Sony ever made. It also makes a great case for itself as the best controller in the market right now. It combines an ergonomic design, practicality, and ease of use. It also fits perfectly in the hands, something that can't be said about this literally huge version of the PS4 controller that is currently trending.

As Kotaku reported, the ginormous PS4 controller is not completely playable. The face buttons, D-pad along with the L1 and R1 shoulder buttons actually work which can be seen in the accompanying video. However, the analog sticks do nothing but move around. The L2 and R2 also do not work and is only for show. The TouchPad is likely inoperable as well. Kotaku believed that it would be too expensive to build a TouchPad for the gigantic controller.

In the said video, someone from "Gigazine" played PaRappa The Rapper. The monstrous controller was actually made as part of the promotional event of the said game. The video game was very recently re-issued and was released on April 4. The reporter said that it was quite difficult to use the massive controller.

The PlayStation 4 controllers came with the PS4 console. Since then, Sony has not done any updates or developed any new controllers other than the ones made particularly for eSports. As a matter of fact, there is nothing much on the PS4 controller front except for the gigantic version. However, there is this other PS4 controller recently released that may remind some of the dream sequences in "Dumbo". The blue slime-shaped PS4 controller is made by Hori, a Japanese peripheral maker. The weird-looking PS4 Dragon Quest Controller looks like a blue drop of glob with a smiling face when propped on a flat surface. When playing, simply turn it upside down to reveal the controls.

The huge PS4 controller is the only one of its kind though it may show itself in future promotional events. It is also highly unlikely that Sony is working on a building-sized PlayStation 5.
