Final Fantasy XV Getting A Strange Weapon Following Another Collaboration

Square Enix has done yet another collaboration for Final Fantasy XV, this time with DJ and producer Afrojack. Noctis will be getting an unusual weapon alongside the upcoming update that will enhance the gameplay experience.

Afrojack And Final Fantasy XV Collaboration

According to True Achievements, the latest Final Fantasy installment will be getting a free update that brings back some features and a new weapon inspired by the said DJ. He had worked with Square Enix on some of the game's audio and has spawned the creation of the Afrosword which Noctis can earn after completing a Timed Quest.

The game's YouTube channel uploaded an announcement video with the DJ explaining what the weapon actually does. Firstly, it deals "extra damage" and has its own soundtrack when equipped. Fans who are fond of exclusive equipment can pick up the item when the new Timed Quest drops in the game.

Next Update Launches With New Features

In line with this, the major free update will arrive on April 27 and will add new features to the game, as per Gematsu. To begin with, there will be a new "Stable Mode" for the PlayStation 4 Pro that stabilizes frame rate. Next, subtitles and some of the menu screen text sizes have been enlarged. There are also new car stickers for the Regalia and new songs have been added to the player.

Finally, Timed Quests will be returning to the game along with a new ranking feature. With this in mind, it still seems like Square Enix is trying to find a way to capture the attention of those who have finished the game. Alternatively, those who have yet to purchase a copy will now have more options when playing for the first time.

Square Enix also plans on releasing more DLC in the future with Episode Prompto on the way soon. Until then, fans can enjoy the Final Fantasy XV Timed Quest to earn the Afrojack-inspired weapon.
