Nokia Lumia 925 is 'ideal' for Man of Steel... Says Nokia

Never one to shy away from bloviating, Finnish mobile manufacturer Nokia has not only rocketed into "super" cross-promotion with the forthcoming Man of Steel (300 and Watchmen helmer Zack Snyder's reboot of the Superman franchise), but it has also come out with a statement on its official blog about why its new Lumia 925 is "ideal" for the ultimate comic book hero coming to life (once again) on the silver screen.

The Nokia Lumia 925 is, in the company's words, a "super phone fit for a hero," adding that, "Batman's not the only one with cool accessories this summer: Superman and the  Nokia Lumia 925 are now officially a match made in Krypton."

We already reported on the upcoming Superman edition of the Nokia Lumia 925 that will be hitting shelves in China on June 15. The phone manufacturer has also just launched an exclusive Man of Steel app via the Windows Store. The app allows users to play movie-themed games, countdown to the film's June 14 premiere and redesign their Lumia phone with themed wallpapers, ringtones and more.

As Nokia continues to pronounce on its blog, there's apparently good reason -- in its estimation, at least -- as to why Man of Steel and the Lumia 925 make for a super-powered fusion.

Being that, as Superman #13 (as part of a 2012 iteration of the comic) states, Superman boasts a strength of up to "5.972 sextillion metric tons," Nokia believes that its Gorilla Glass 2-integrated polycarbonate and aluminum frame (which it has already had to get on the defensive about, frankly) is an appropriately near-indestructible counterpart to the Man of Steel himself.

Considering Superman's x-ray vision (that was premiered in the original Action Comics #11), coupled with his astoundingly accurate super-vision, Nokia brags further that the Lumia 925 is a "smartphone built for super adventures" thanks to its "new generation of image processing software and advanced lens technology for the ultimate in clear and sharp pictures, and it performs amazingly in low light conditions."

Along with augmented reality feature LiveSight that works with the 8.7 megapixel PureView lens that comes with the Lumia 925, Nokia has also boosted the 925's effective maximum ISO from 800 to 3200.

Nokia finally points to speed comparisons when it comes to Superman -- who was once back in the day clocked at 100 mph but now can likely travel up to speeds breaking the sound and possibly even light barriers -- and the Lumia 925, which runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Dual-core 1.5GHz processor and supports 4G Internet access.

Granted, though the Lumia 925's processor is the same that predecessor Lumia 920 (released more than six months ago) runs on, Nokia still proclaims that "it's impressively fast and even the most sophisticated apps and complex user interfaces will run buttery smooth" as an engine for the phone.

Regardless of the fact that the already-released Galaxy S4 from Nokia rival Samsung runs on a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, the former still believes that the Lumia 925 is speedy enough to keep up with Clark Kent's superhero secret identity, concluding that, "Superman finally has a superphone worthy of the name."

Do you think the Lumia 925 is really worthy of being a "superphone"? What phone do you think would fit into the mighty hands of Superman better? Let us know in the comments below.
