HTC T6: 'Bigger' HTC One with stylus to battle Samsung Galaxy Note 3

HTC is getting ready to battle Samsung in the phablet world with a new phablet, codename T6. The device has some very impressive specs and reportedly comes with a stylus, which means it has the Galaxy Note 3 in its sight.

HTC knows it has a good thing in the HTC One, so it is going to use that formula with its upcoming T6 smartphone. The T6 will reportedly feature a 5.9-inch display and look like a larger HTC One, complete with its anodized aluminum unibody enclosure that has made the smartphone popular.

According to TheUnlockr, the HTC T6 takes all of the best features found in the HTC One, adds a larger display, and a stylus to make it a real competitor to Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 3. If this report is true, HTC just might have another big hit on its hands. The HTC T6 will reportedly feature a 5.9-inch Full HD 1080p display, Android Key Lime Pie, be powered by a Qualcomm 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an OIS-equipped UltraPixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front facing camera, HTC BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers, integrated pen/stylus, biometric fingerprint scanner, and a microSD card for additional expansion.

The T6 will reportedly be one of the first devices to ship with Android Key Lime Pie, the next major version of Android. It is widely believed that Google has had to delay launching Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and will launch it before the end of 2013, and that's why we're seeing Android 4.3 as the next "big" release for the time being. HTC has supposedly taken great care when it comes to the stylus found on the T6 - a "nicely crafted stylus with an ultra-thin tip capable of a full suite of content creation and manipulation capabilities."

The T6 will also reportedly join the rumored iPhone 5S/6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 by offering a biometric fingerprint scanner that will be on the rear of the device.

Since this is but a rumor, take it with a pinch of salt. However, if it turns out to be true, the phablet war is going to get very interesting in the next 3-4 months.
