Updates for the second season of “Riverdale” have finally been released while fan theories have been circulating recently and they sound legit enough that they could actually happen.

The CW has renewed “Riverdale” for another season in March and seems like things will get darker. The second season is set to air this October and a lot of characters are set to make their first appearances. Veronica Lodge’s father, Hiram, is finally appearing and he will be played by actor Mark Consuelos. Reggie Miller is also going to get a new face as actor Ross Butler will be replaced by Charles Melton.

Meanwhile, the latest update for “Riverdale” Season 2 reveals that things will get scarier. The titles of the four first episodes of the series have been revealed by showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa and things don’t sound good. Even before the first season ended, the production already revealed that they are planning to make a huge genre change to the series when they get to the second season. The titles of the next four chapters prove that the series is taking a noir take.

While fans are trying to take in the new teasers, conspiracy theories about the series have been going around. One popular theory about Betty Cooper and her secret brother is mind-blowing and the fan might have just nailed it. According to the theory, Betty’s long lost brother might just be Joaquin DeSantos, who also happens to be Kevin Keller’s boyfriend. In addition, the theory added that the said secret brother might actually be Alice and F.P. Jones’ love child that was why Hal wanted Alice to have an abortion back in the days. If this theory turns out to be true, it will be one huge plot twist especially because this will mean Betty and her boyfriend, Jughead shares a half-brother and that will surely complicate their romance.
