The Modern Warfare III is set to follow the storyline of the previous reboot installments such as Modern Warfare I and II. New Call of Duty fans must not be confused with the new series as Activision Blizzard are using Roman numeral to distinguish the reboot from the original.

The original antagonist of the series follows the story of Vladimir Makarov. However, Makarov was not integrated in the reboot until the end of the Modern Warfare II.

With the trailer now out, fans are speculating that the dialogue "never bury your enemies alive," is a reference to Makarov for Modern Warfare III.

More Modern Warfare III Rumors

The announcement seemed to be short as not much was revealed in the teaser. Popular Call of Duty update account, CharlieIntel, listed some of the rumors about the Modern Warfare III.

Some possible upgrades will be the inclusion of MW2 2009 MP maps, red dots on mini map, return of reload cancel, return of slide cancel, bringing war mode back, outbreak zombies mode, and more.
