Afghani Ends Speculations for New Mario Voice Actor

Just a day ago, a fan exposed his attempt to track down the new voice actor for Mario. After a series of eliminations, the hacker claimed that Mick Wingert had the potential to be the new voice actor for Mario and Luigi. However, Wingert quickly commented that he will not voice Mario.

Funny enough, Afghani was one of the choices along with Wingert. However, Afghani was crossed out of the list since the user thought that he sounded for similar to a talking flower than Mario. Just hours after the news made a buzz, Afghani confirmed the news himself by posting the announcement on X.

Fans can now rest as Afghani, who is known for voicing Arnold in Genshin Impact, will be the new voice of Mario and Luigi. The voice actor is based in the Los Angeles region and has been acting on various web original projects.

Afghani to Follow Charles Martinet's Legacy

Many fans were saddened when Martinet suddenly announced his retirement as Mario and Luigi's voice actor. Fans were quick to point out how different Mario sounded during the trailer for Super Mario Bros Wonder.

Regardless, both the Super Mario community and the voice-acting community extended their congratulations to Afghani. With only one week left before the release of the Super Mario Bros. Wonder, fans are now expecting to hear more on how Afghani will bring Mario and Luigi to life.
