Airbnb Enlists New Features

The vacation rental company will debut its "Guest Favorite" label which will be given to listings that are rated above 4.9 stars and have below one percent cancellations from hosts. The label will give the comparison between rentals as they can easily see which has a low rate of customer service issues. According to Airbnb, around two million homes are qualified for the label among the seven million homes listed on the platform.

"People often describe checking into an Airbnb as a 'moment of truth' - when you find out if the home you booked meets your expectations," CEO Brian Chesky said in an interview. According to the CEO, the new changes are fit to adapt to the shift in post-pandemic travel patterns.

In addition, reviews are now easier and quicker to read with the redesigned review section. The new design showcases an overall rating chart that shows the breakdown of the listing's star reviews. The reviews can also be sorted and filtered based on their relevance to the user. For instance, it could be based on the type of trip or length of stay.

Airbnb Integrates AI Tools on App

In addition, the home-sharing company is also investing in AI as it introduces a new tool that can sort photos by room. Hosts will be able to instantly organize their photos with the help of AI. They can also make changes and include more amenities in order to give the guests a complete look at the listing using photos before they can book the place.

Meanwhile, an all-new listing editor will help hosts to add information to their listings. It will also provide suggestions and tips on what are the best ways to display details. Moreover, an arrival guide preview is added so that hosts can set the directions, check-in details, house manual, and check-out instructions. The preview will appear to the guests to accommodate them even before arriving at the place.

Lastly, a smart lock integration that can easily connect to the Airbnb account will generate unique codes for guests. However, the feature is not yet available but the company promised it will be released in the US and Canada soon.
