Google Pixel 8 Series Beats Apple, Samsung, OnePlus

The Global Mobile Awards honors smartphones under different categories, such as the "Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough," "Best Mobile Network Infrastructure," and more. For the device category, "Best Smartphone" is the highest award.

The Google Pixel 8 series fought with the iPhone 15 Pro series, OnePlus Open, Samsung Galaxy S23 series and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. The award was based on the assessment of world-leading independent analysts, journalists and influencers.

Previously, Apple's iPhone 14 Pro took the award in 2023 with the iPhone 13. Meanwhile, Samsung had a blast after Galaxy S21 Ultra won in 2021. This would be the first time for Google to snatch the title from two massive competitors.

Last October, Google unveiled the much-awaited Pixel 8 Series during the Made by Google Event. One of the most notable upgrades was the AI advancements that were made possible by the latest Google Tensor G3 Chip.

The latest Pixel phone also boasts better camera tools. It has enhanced low-light performance, dynamic range and shadow noise. The Audio Magic Eraser and Magic Editor are also some of the best features of the phone.
