Sony To Reveal PlayStation Neo In September

Sony will unveil the latest version of PlayStation 4.5 this coming September just in time for theChristmas season. Sony will have a "technical showcase" of PlayStation 4k or Neo specifically on September 7th this year.

There is no exact date as to when it will be available for consumers to buy in the market. The Verge reported that Sony will first showcase the updates and added features of the PlayStation Neo also known as 4.5 and 4k next month. They do not want to go up against Nintendo's new releases so it will be released earlier.

According to Tech Radar, 4.5 or Neo will be different from the first versions of PlayStation. Sony is reported to have updated the hardware itself for the console. The older consoles got slimmer as they upgraded, but with 4.5, Sony might do the opposite. Of course, not only the hardware will be updated, fans can expect a better gaming view and resolution with this version.

After two and a half years, Sony will upgrade their PlayStation 4. They will sell the 4.5 or Neo alongside 4 so consumers will not have to choose.  Extreme Tech stated that Sony is doing this upgrade for their new VR headset. They need to upgrade the power for the VR to be compatible with the PS4.5. It was also said that it can support more than 1080p, 4k to be exact. Though PS4 can handle 4k, it cannot handle games well.

Information about the game performance is not revealed yet. Sony is saving up those details for their September 7 launch. However, some rumors are saying that the CPU for this will be definitely much bigger. Fans will not have to worry whether they have the old console or the new one. It will work either way so it is all good for everybody.
