iPad Air 3 A No Show At Apple September 7 Event; Delayed Until 2017?

Apple has been in the limelight after the most awaited Apple Event took off, unveiling the new iPhone 7 and the Apple Watch Series 2. However, the iPad Air 3 didn't show up, and even just a few hints about its existence were nowhere to be found.

When is the iPad Air 3 Going to Be Released?

With this, the release date of the next iPad Air might be postponed to the first quarter of 2017. There are also some previous reports that the iPad Air 3 is most likely to be released by October or November of 2016. But now, its likelihood have definitely decreased.

With it, the possibility of prioritizing the iPad Pro instead of the iPad Air 3 is also a good contender. If true, then the new iPad Pro will be named the iPad Pro 12.9, thus moving the release of the iPad Air 3 on a much later date.

iPad Air 3 Features and Specs

Bloomberg stated that Apple is planning for a total feature refresh on its products, thereby improving the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro drastically. The Apple Pencil is also to experience massive upgrades to cope up with its complimentary products. The tech giant is also rumored to be working on the improvement of its software, such as iOS 10.

Still, no evidence has been presented so far supporting the existence of a much sooner iPad Air 3 release. However, there are unofficial reports that the iPad Air 3 will feature a more durable aluminium material on its surface, giving it a slimmer and sleeker design, as well as being powered by an A10 chipset.

The iPad Air 3 will also have three different variants. These are the 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB models. One of the best improvements is the audio quality, as it will have speakers that are similar to the iPad Pro.

Surely, the iPad Air 3 will be out. It is just a matter of time.
