Overwatch Sombra was recently released on the Overwatch test servers. Recent reports reveal the new hero's disabling skills and interrupting others' ultimates, among others. Furthermore, the game will be free to play on all gaming platforms next weekend.
Overwatch Sombra is said to be useful in preventing an ultimate or a crucial ability. However, Sombra could also be easily sent back to respawn if a mistake happens. It should also be noted that ultimates like Genji, Junkrat and Hanzo's may not be stopped.
Hacking characters like Zenyatta, Zarya and Symettra using the Overwatch Sombra may also lead to taking almost half of their health. However, in a one on one situation, these heroes are said to hold their own against lone targets. Sombra's EMP blast may also break into enemies' barriers like Reinhardt and Winston leaving them unable use their abilities.
Furthermore, the Overwatch Sombra is said to be at a disadvantage against the abilities of Zarya, Soldier 76 and Torbjorn. For example, if Sombra will hack the Torbjorn, it will not prevent his ultimate but may disable his turret and armor placement. This may potentially lead to Sombra getting shot if seen hacking a turret. Zarya's barrier abilities may also block out Sombra's EMP which can lead to Zarya's damage getting stronger.
Meanwhile, the franchise will be free to play on Xbox One, PS4 and PC over the next weekend. However, the Overwatch Sombra will reportedly skip the free weekend. Blizzard recently announced the free weekend for the first person shooter game which will commence on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. PT and will end on Nov. 21 at 4 p.m. PT.
Overwatch Sombra is currently available in the PTR on PC but will not be available to play during the free weekend. However, next weekend will also include play modes like Weekly Brawl on all 13 maps complete will all the 22 heroes. The game's progress may be saved by purchasing a copy of the game.
