Rumor On Marvel Versus Capcom 4 Denied By Developer

Several rumors and expectations have surfaced on the internet about an upcoming Marvel VS Capcom 4, it even has a teaser poster, have been shot down by a single statement from a producer from Marvel vs. Capcom 3. It seems that there are no plans to make the game at all.

For a few months now, unconfirmed information has been circulating around making fans excited about Marvel VS Capcom 4. To everyone's disappointment, the information circulating has proven to be false. As seen on the tweet below, one big boss from the current Marvel VS Capcom title has debunked all theories about a fourth title coming out anytime soon.

Marvel VS Capcom 3 producer Ryota Niitsuma also continued and thanked fans for their undying dedication and interest in a sequel. He noted that he loves to see the game but not anytime soon as there are no plans to begin with. Marvel VS Capcom 3 took 11 years to follow part 2 so if in light of positivity, it will take that much if a part 4 will be realized.

It is reported that part of the reasons why it took 11 years for Marvel VS Capcom 3 to follow Marvel VS Capcom 2 is the conversion of 2D assets to 3D. If you know gaming development, that isn't a good excuse on such huge delays, so the angle of licensing issues surfaces to suffice the reason on the delay.

The idea of clashing together heroes and villains from the 2 universes, Marvel and Capcom, is still very exciting. Players are still eager and willing to wait if their favorite character(s) who are not in the previous titles will finally be out in Marvel VS Capcom 4. Sad thing is, it might take a whole while to make this come true due to licensing agreements.
