Sonic The Hedgehog Returns! But Not in Your Consoles

Sonic the Hedgehog is one of the most popular games by Sega and has since been the company's official mascot after its creation way back in 1991. Due to its popularity, it's not uncommon to see companies that are making use of its title as a mean for promotions but this new Sonic the Hedgehog-themed train line makes full use of the title's iconic character.

One of the companies that are now making full use of Sonic the Hedgehog is the Blue Sky line which is an electric commuter train line that is currently serving Tokyo. As you can see on the top picture, the trains portray Sonic exquisitely through its vivid design and painting. According to Wikipedia, the train line can reach a top speed of 120 kph which quite a lot considering that it's just your typical subway train - although it's incomparable to the "bullet trains" or the Shinkansen let alone to Sonic himself.

If you're interested to ride on one of these "Sonic Trains" then you can easily access one line by going to Tokyo airport. One of its lines currently service near the Tokyo Airport Station and if you want to see the full exterior of the train line, check out the video down below.

Sonic recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and during the commemoration, Sega expressed its gratitude for the continued support from its fans as Sonic has now starred across 30+ games since its original debut. An upcoming Sonic movie is currently on the making and is expected to be released in the Q1 of 2018.
