Like most weapons, acquiring the Apocalypse greatsword takes time and effort. In fact, you cannot have it without completing all 15 chapters of Final Fantasy XV. If you have already completed the game's whole story mission, one of the activities you can embark on is finishing the eight hidden dungeons. Once you complete them, one of your rewards is the Dungeon Seal key which you can use to unlock special doors inside these dungeons.

You need to select the quest "A Menace Sleeps in Balouve." Start the ball rolling by proceeding first to the Balouve Mines dungeon where you have to find the secret door. In the vicinity of the location where you had a take down the dungeon's boss, you need to go through tiny cavities in the wall until you reach the Apocalypse. The rewards is just right on the ground at the first camp site of the dungeon which is only three floors below from where you are right now.

Take note however that the enemies here are mostly level 75 and above. If you happen to be lower than that, make sure you bank on Limit Break Magic and bring legendary weapons.
