It's been written over and over, from various articles to another, the kind of weapons Final Fantasy XV offers is what makes the game unique. From swords to rifle, players just simply have a good variety of choices to choose from. But of course, acquiring them isn't easy (which is only right). You can't just obtain them from a single sitting. You have to literally work on it. Among these weapons, the Cerberus Rifle is a hard one to catch. Besides, it's the only rifle available in the game, so expect Square Enix to make it difficult for players to obtain it. Well, without further ado, here's how to get it. And oh, we'll show you how to add the Aranea Highwind as well!
How To Get The Cerberus Rifle
The first step is to understand that the rifle can and will only be accessed by Noctis. Its base damage is around 156, making it a useful weapon to muster. While it's not really as lethal as the others in the game, it's enough to take down various enemies from a distance. Remember: the rifle offers the zoom-in option, which is a feature common in snipers or rifles.
To obtain the Cerberus Rifle in Final Fantasy XV, go first to the Fort Vaullerey Imperial Base (only accessible once Chapter 6 is reached). Go inside and look for the two hangers, both are huge in size. Once there, go straight to the left and just keep walking or going. Once you come across with what appears to be airport structures, stop and do a search. Your goal is to find a hut which is just really near the area. If successful, you should be able to locate the weapon sitting comfortable on a table. And viola, you already own one!
Moving away from the weapon, let's go take a look at a certain glitch in Final Fantasy XV. According to a couple of reports, a glitch has been discovered by players in the recently released Holiday Pack or DLC. It basically allows them to effectively add the Aranea Highwind to the party.
How To Add The Aranea Highwind
In Final Fantasy XV, you must first camp at the so-called Cotisse Haven. The latter is just near the Hammerhead. Wait until midnight and save your progress. Once done, head to the north, particularly on the red fence. There, you have to wait for a certain Giant to appear. If and only if it doesn't spawn, use the beast whistle to summon it at the next spawn area. Here, you must ensure that Aggro faces the monster. By doing so, Aranea will surely appear. However, you must leave before it happens. So, the best thing to do is bring the map with you and return to your rest point.
Before Aranea showcases her descent animation, you must open the camp menu right away. Remember that the UI locks will be activated if you're not able to open the said menu or if it takes you too long in doing so. Once done, open it and scan. Simply look for Aranea's dropship and watch her as she jumps down. Once she lands, set a camp. You'll notice that in the morning, everything will be normal. Simply reload your auto-save data so as to have Aranea in your party.
