Players who have pre-ordered Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition were treated with a pleasant surprise when they learned that it comes with a small bonus - the Halo Wars: Definitive Edition. The codes for this bonus have been sent out to buyers since last week. That means those who are interested can buy this video game next year.

The Game Will Be Available In 2017

Actually, this small bonus was mentioned in an Xbox Support page. A statement from the site said when buyers pre-order Halo Wars 2, they will also get a code for Halo Wars: Definitive Edition when the video game is made available on Dec. 20, 2016. Further on, the site stated that the game will not be separately sold until later in 2017.

Dan Ayoub, head of 343 Industries, the developer of Halo Wars: Definitive Edition, confirmed the fact that those who bought Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition will also get "special preview access" to the enhanced version intended for XBox One and Windows 10 this month. This remastered version will have additional Achievements and enhanced graphics.

It will also come with the entire DLC designed for the original version. Ayoub announced this special treat to those who are waiting for Halo Wars: Definitive Edition at The Games Awards. His company also launched the latest cinematic trailer for Halo Wars 2. The trailer featured the details of how the strategy sequel was developed.

However, 343 did not provide any details about the price of Halo Wars: Definitive Edition. But at least those who just want to play this remastered version have much to be happy about. Now, they are sure that the video game they are waiting for will finally be available next year.
