BlackBerry Mercury News & Update: CES Appearance Only A Preview, Launch Set At MWC 2017

BlackBerry has recently previewed its newest smartphone at CES 2017. Everyone was waiting for the smartphone to launch at the biggest tech event but it seems the wait would be extended a little longer. The company has decided to extend the launching of the product at MWC next month and only the preview would be shown now.

During a certain press release by TCT, the company revealed that the first smartphone this year is the BlackBerry Mercury, which is entirely focused on security, productivity and reliability it could bring to the users.

What Would The Phone Feature?

The smartphone would have preinstalled Android 7.0 Nougat and would feature USB Type-C port for faster charging and also would provide faster data transfers. The most important feature would be the keyboard itself that has capacitive touch capabilities for scrolling. The spacebar consists of the built-in fingerprint sensor to unlock the smartphone screen. It has totally metallic body, which makes the phone looks ravishing and beautiful.

BlackBerry have not revealed all the features of the smartphone and have just given the CES guests a chance to have a hands-on time with it. All the major specifications will be unveiled at the MWC 2017 next month.

BlackBerry's Return To QWERTY

Blackberry fans would definitely love this smartphone as they would witness the return of the QWERTY keypad after the launch of the full-screen DTEK60. The keypad has an amazing finish as expected from the company and also provides very smooth touch function to the users. BlackBerry has stopped making the smartphones and has tied up TCL to launch brand smartphones. TCL is trying its best to make BlackBerry to compete with all the new upcoming smartphones in the corporate market. All eyes would be on the upcoming Mobile World Congress next month, waiting eagerly to finally launch the product and have an amazing experience altogether.
