'Sister Wives' Season 8: Tell-All Special Hints On New Season; Meri And Kody Brown's Relationship To Be Tackled?

The Brown family of the hit reality show, "Sister Wives," have been addressing countless issues in the recently concluded season. From the tell-all special of the installment, the family members hint on a new season where results of their action in season 7 will be featured. One possible plot that will be touched by the show is reportedly involving Meri and Kody's torn relationship.

Meri and Kody's Fallen Relationship

"Sister Wives" has just wrapped up its seventh season with a tell-all special and several concerns have been clarified by the Browns. Fans have seen the roller-coaster of emotions of Meri regarding her failed relationship with Kody. It can be recalled that they have been talking about fixing their relationship since the "Sister Wives" season 7 premiere, but the estranged couple ended the installment admitting they could not trust each other.

Meri specifically confessed about her feelings towards her relationship with Kody as she asked for some "space." Kody then answered to Meri's request saying that their separation might hurt his ego more than himself in general. This has caused more drama during the special episode, and fans are expecting to see how the family moves on in "Sister Wives" season 8 as Meri and Kody go on with their separate lives.

The Controversies That Hit The Browns

"Sister Wives" season 7 has been dealing with the consequences of Meri's previous catfishing scandal for which her daughter cannot forgive her for. Later in the season, Mariah confessed about her sexual preference, and this time, Meri becomes the one who cannot accept her daughter. How this mother-daughter relationship will be patched up is expected to be tackled in the upcoming new season.

Another issue that came to the Browns is their challenge against the Utah marriage laws. It can be noted that last January, the U.S. Supreme Court has denied the Browns of their appeal to challenge Utah's polygamy laws. There are talks that claim that Kody will go for another shot at petitioning an appeal to challenge the said laws and that fans will see how the family will deal with the state's rules in the upcoming season.

Also, the family was plagued by bankruptcy rumors, saying Kody has debts he needs to pay. Before "Sister Wives" season 7 began, a magazine feature recounted the Browns alleged debts which caused the family to go bankrupt. The rumors became riper as Meri and Christine started their own businesses. The talks also sparked theories that Kody is catching the attention of TLC by getting another wife so the network will award the show with another season.

Following these issues, the Browns have clarified the talks, assuring that Kody has not gone bankrupt. The members also said that a spinoff will not be possible, but has not denied the possibility of another "Sister Wives" season.
