News came out recently that Captain Cold or Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller) will be coming back to "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2. Fans would recall that he has sacrificed himself to save his teammates in season 1. So, how will he be resurrected by the show producers in the current season?
Captain Cold Is Coming Back
Here is where the Legion of Doom comes in. Fans of DC comics know that one of the most feared groups of supervillains is this group. Apparently, Captain Cold will return as part of this group. How he became a part of them is what will probably be revealed in the upcoming episodes of "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2.
The arrival of these supervillains in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 was confirmed by no less than Marc Guggenheim, executive producer. He made this announcement at the recent Comic-Con. He said that they decided to bring the Legion of Doom to the hit TV series because they seem to be the perfect antagonist for the superheroes of the show.
Miller And Purcell Are Shooting Bank Heist Scenes
Snart has not yet joined the ranks of these supervillains. But a set of photos were leaked showing him filming what seems to be heist with his partner Dominic Purcell. The time of the filming seems to coincide with the shooting of scenes for the musical crossover of the Flash and Supergirl. Therefore, there are speculations that Miller and Purcell were shooting scenes for the upcoming episode of "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2.
The Flashpoint Could Have Caused His Return
A proof of the fact that Captain Cold will be back in "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 is that Miller has signed a new contract with CW. It is a series regular contract in all the superhero shows of CW. That would mean he might appear in all of the superhero shows produced by the network.
It now appears that he will join forces with three enemies of the Arrow universe. But it seems that it will be an earlier version of Snart that has been resurrected by the Flash in Flashpoint. Fans will know when the upcoming episode is shown on March 21, 2017.
