'Sons of Anarchy' Spinoff: 'Mayans Mc' Lead Already Cast; Casting Might Give Charlie Hunnam A Chance To Do A Cameo?

The "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff, "Mayans MC" has already signed an actor to play the lead role. JD Pardon has recently been announced to portray the character of EZ Reyes who's life will be the focus of the new series. Despite the main characters already been cast, fans are still hoping to see the name of Charlie Hunnam at least in the list of the cameo roles.

"Sons of Anarchy's" "Mayans MC" has already cast four of its lead characters, where the American actor, JD Pardon has landed the main character role. Pardon will be playing as EZ Reyes, who, from the synopsis, will retaliate against the drug cartel. Like Charlie Hunnam's Jax Teller, EZ he will fight get involved in a bloody war against syndicates while protecting the love of his life.

Other actors reportedly signed to take on a lead role in "Mayans MC" are Edward James Olmos, Clayton Cardenas, and John Ortiz. Although Pardon nabbed the main character role, it is Ortiz' character that attracted the interest of the fans as he serves as a possible link between the spinoff series and the original show.

Ortiz will play the character Esai "Taino" Osorio who will be the president of the Santo Padre Charter of the Mayans MC. The more interesting part about Taino though is that he is a cousin of the Mayans MC founder, Marcus Alvarez. The description about Taino also revealed that he lived with Alvarez for some time in Oakland, and it is being speculated that he has one way or another worked with Jax Teller in the past.

Fans already know that the "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff will follow a post-Jax Teller story. However, the revelation about Taino's whereabouts before the spinoff is giving fans a new hope, that they will still see Jax Teller at least in a cameo role. Fans of the show also believe that more will be revealed as the spinoff series announces the actors that made it in its final casting.

Meanwhile, Hunnam who played Jax Teller in the seven seasons of "Sons of Anarchy" has not ruled out a guest appearance in "Mayans MC." He has already said last year that he is interested in working on another season of "SOA" although it will be quite impossible as his character already died in season 7. There is a speculation then claiming that the actor is planning a surprise cameo which might be supported by the recent casting of roles.

The release of "Mayans MC" has not yet been confirmed, but a buzz claims that it might kick off in Fall. Filming has also not yet commenced as the spinoff series has not yet gathered all of its actors.
