Panasonic's Rugged 2-in-1 Tablet Features Waterproof Body

A rugged-type 2 in 1 tablet has finally been introduced to the market. The Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 is designed to withstand extreme usage and is aimed towards workers and industries who use their devices in tough circumstances. This convertible is a combination of a large standalone tablet and a separate keyboard accessory.

As per Neowin, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 comes with a 12-inch tablet and a detachable keyboard. Both components can then be folded together to form a tiny briefcase. The device's aspect ratio of 3:2 is supposedly going to offer superior angles while its 2160 x 1440 QHD display resolution will bring in higher image quality.

This 2 in 1 can be used both in bright sunlight and in wet conditions. The device can also be used in different modes including touch-with-gloves. As for the Panasonic CF-33's weight, know that this sturdy device weighs 3.3 pounds as a tablet and 6 pounds as a convertible.

Additional details about the 2 in 1 include its Windows 10 operating system, 7th-generation Intel Core processor, and its 4G LTE option. There's also a 2 MP webcam-type front camera and an 8 MP rear camera. This convertible also supports Windows Hello. Moreover, the Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 comes with different ports such as USB 3.0, headset port, HDMI, LAN, and microSD-XC. There's also the Desktop Port Replicator feature that allows the Panasonic Toughbook to be used as a high-performing desktop.

Authorized Panasonic dealers will start selling the Toughbook CF-33 in May 2017 in the US and within Q2 of the year in Europe. As for the pricing, Windows Blogs says that the device will carry a $4099 US price for the keyboard-equipped model. The tablet-only variant, on the other hand, will be priced $3499.
