Crash Bandicoot Crashes Horizon Zero Dawn In UK Sales Chart In Its First Week

It looks like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is living up to its name. The latest news indicates that this video game has crashed Horizon Zero Dawn in terms of copies sold. CBNST was just released last week and it has now captured the number one slot on the U.K. chart.

Some industry watchers believe that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is riding the nostalgia crest that is now covering the U.K. charts. Along with this video game, two other nostalgic titles, Elite and Micro Machines, seem to be ruling the roost. These three titles are back in U.K.'s list of the top ten video games for the week.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is the first in the franchise and it is now dominating the chart that was once ruled by Horizon Zero Dawn. This is the first time that this franchise has debuted a title that reached number one in its first week. Chris Dring, senior editor at GameIndustry biz tweeted that Crash Bandicoot was purchased by a large number of people in its first week of sales.

That made Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy the biggest single-format launch of the year, Dring added. Amazon U.K. has confirmed this fact using its own listing even so much as projecting that this new video game is going to be the best-selling game of the year. By beating Horizon Zero Dawn to the punch and even the very popular Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, CBNST appears to have made it.

Vicarious Visions is the developer of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, a platform video game. It is published by Activision for PlayStation 4. Being a trilogy, this title is a compilation of the three remastered titles of the Crash Bandicoot series, namely Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strikes Back, and Warped. This remastered trilogy was just released last June 30, 2017.
