PlayStation VR: Price Review

Sony tries bringing virtual reality to its PlayStation 4 console and will be releasing the hardware by next week. There are already reviews about it and most of them are good reviews especially when talking about the price.

First off, reviews say that it's amazing that Sony is going to allow the world of virtual reality to be experienced by a lot more people because it is releasing PlayStation VR with a more affordable price. Comparing it to the other two major headsets which is the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR is "cheaper" than the two headsets since the hardware's price starts at $399.99.

Right now, the only noticeable problem PlayStation VR has is the fact that the headset is said to be almost useless without the PlayStation Camera which is sold separately at the price of $59.99.

Bundles are also available, in the bundle, PlayStation Camera and motion-tracked PlayStation Move controllers are included; the bundle can be bought at $499.99. Meanwhile, the HTC Vive costs at $799.99 and the Oculus Rift on the other hand in $599.99.

There are big price-differences when the three major headsets are compared and most reviews say that the experience that PlayStation VR gives is not far from what the $799.99 HTC Vive gives. The fact that PlayStation VR costs at $499.99 and is still cheaper than HTC Vive and Oculus Rift is enough reason already, says some reviews.

Other than the price being affordable, reviews also said that PlayStation VR is very comfortable to use comparing it to HTC Vive which has a dangling headset jack that seems a little too inconvenient.

The quality of the images in PlayStation VR is impressive as well and the whole hardware itself is impressively attractive too.

To make it short, most reviews agree on the fact that PlayStation VR is an excellent and cheaper introduction into the groundbreaking world of virtual reality.
