Pokemon Sun and Moon Guide: Where Is The Name Rater To Change Pokemon's Name Again

‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’ don’t just allow players to customize the name of their character, they can also personalize their outfit and the name of their Pokemon. However, there are times when a player have changed their mind and wishes to change the name of the Pokemon again. And the only way to do that in ‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’ is to find the name rater and allow another name change for the Pokemon.

Who and Where is the Name Rater in ‘Pokemon Sun and Moon?'

The Name Rater is the game’s NPC that rates the name of a player’s Pokemon. If he finds it unattractive, he allows the player to change it. Unfortunately, the player will have to go through him if they want to change the name of their Pokemon. So to find him, players will need to head to Akala Island and go to Heahea City. Once in the city, look for the Alola Tourist Bureau building. Enter the building and find the man wearing a bright blue shirt with some design in it. He will be located in the right part of the area.

How to Change the Pokemon’s Name Again?

Once the NPC is located, players will need to talk to him and have him rate their Pokemon. He will then allow the player to change the name of their Pokemon as many times as they want. The only Pokemon a player will not be allowed to customize is Pokemon’s received from trading in ‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’.

Many players are hoping the ‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’ will eventually allow players to change the name of their Pokemon on their own. The effort of going back and forth from Akala Island and to where the player needs to be is a bit tiresome and repetitive. Wouldn’t it be more convenient for players to just rename it from the inventory list?
