No Battlefield Games For 2017, EA Confirms

Battlefield 1 may be slated to be a hit game for EA. However, a new version for the first-person shooter may not be in the works for next year. Apparently, EA Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen recently appeared at a Conference last week to reveal that no Battlefield 1 will be launching in 2017.

It has been noted that EA will be focusing on the launch of Battlefront instead. The Star Wars EA game is expected to be released in the market in 2017. Hence, Battlefield 1 would remain to be in the sidelines, albeit silently developing in the background to make room for the Star Wars game.

It is expected that the Battlefield developer DICE would be given more ample time to work on the development for Battlefield 1. It is said that as of the moment, Battlefield 1 may still need a workaround on the bugs that have inflicted the game including 2013 Battlefield 4.

It should be noted that the 2013 Battlefield was criticized for being difficult to play due to the glitches. Apparently, DICE was reportedly hurrying to launch the game on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. In contrast, the current game reportedly received strong reviews.

In other news, a new Battlefield game has surfaced for the gaming community. Apparently, it is not the highly-anticipated Battlefield 5 but the Battlefield 1 that launched on several gaming platforms and PC last October.

Battlefield 1 was priced at £44 on the PC and £49 on the consoles. In a addition, PS4 and Xbox one users may also opt for the collector's edition packed with a 14in statue, exclusive cloth propaganda poster and SteelBook along with a deck of playing cards and a messenger pigeon tub for £179. Note that the collector's edition comes with exclusive DLC content, patch and premium packaging as well. In the meantime, watch the trailer for Battlefield 1 here:
