Final Fantasy XV: Here Are The Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed

Square Enix makes subtle Easter Eggs on the line of Final Fantasy franchise and so you may have to revisit the scene to fully capture the hidden surprises. On its 30th anniversary, Square Enix has incorporated a lot of Easter Eggs on Final Fantasy 15 to pay tribute to the entire line of the Final Fantasy universe. Here are some of the Easter Eggs you might have missed:

Final Fantasy I

At the end of Chapter 1, on the outskirts of insomnia, the group will reach a hill wherein the scene would similarly portray - and nearly reenact the scene where the Warriors of the Light would look over Cornelia Castle before leaving on their journey.

Final Fantasy II

Minwu, one of the protagonists and temporary playable characters in Final Fantasy II, has his name appearing on one of the building signs in Insomnia.

Final Fantasy III

Gysahl Greens first debut on Final Fantasy III to summon a fat chocobo. This item also appear in the game (being sold) at Wiz Chocobo Post.

Final Fantasy IV

You may have noticed the glowing runes surrounding the camp sites in the game. This is in fact, a nod to the same glowing symbols found in FF IV wherein they serve to ward off monsters as the team sets up a camp near the save spots.

Final Fantasy V

The Catoblepas in Final Fantasy XV is modeled from the same monster of the same name found in Final Fantasy V.

Final Fantasy VI

Magitek (magic technology) is the term coined for manmade magic which was created by the Gestahlian Empire in Final Fantasy VI. Magitek soldiers are the ones that attack Noctis and the group as well as the secret boss, MA-X Angelus-O which drops the best accessory in the game: Magitek Suit V2.

Final Fantasy VII

For the ardent fans of Final Fantasy VII, you may have notice this as well but for those that need some recollection, the cooking ingredient Ginghee Ham refers to theGinghee enemy found in Final Fantasy VII.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

You can find a sign outside Hammerhead that reads: "Banora White." In Crisis Core, Banora White refers to a specific variety of apple to which the villagers of Banora call "dumbapples."

Final Fantasy VIII

Weapons Monthly is a magazine in Final Fantasy VIII that provides various recipes for remodeling weapons. The same magazine is sold in the item shop at Meldacio Hunter HQ.

Final Fantasy IX

Lunafreya Nox Fleuret commonly called Luna, bears the resemblance to the character Freya Crescent. Luna means "moon."

Final Fantasy X

Pyreflies are the core of life energy in Final Fantasy X. In Final Fantasy XV, you can spot a "Pyrefly Motor Oil" at Burbost Souvenir Emporium Outpost.

Final Fantasy XII

A business found in Insomnia called YRP alludes to the three protagonists of Final Fantasy X-2 namely: Yuna, Rikku and Paine.

Final Fantasy XI

The Mamook Pear Seeds chocobo seeds are named from the Mamook dungeon.

Final Fantasy XIII

The side quest given by Dave called Dust to Dust is a reference to the theme played in Oerba.

Final Fantasy XIV

The relic weapon of the Dragoon job, Gae Bolg can be acquired as a bonus weapon for those that pre ordered the game in Amazon Japan.

Final Fantasy Type-O

The series of side quests that Dave gives to you wherein you'll have to search for dog tags of fallen hunters alludes to "Knowing Tags" in Final Fantasy Type-O. These tags serve as an identification in a world where the living forgets the memories of the dead.
