Samsung Reveals Smartphones That Would Get Android Nougat Update

Samsung, one of the leading gadget companies in the world, already revealed that it has plans of updating most of their smartphones to the very successful Android Nougat. Sources stated that there are sets of Samsung devices that already had the software update while others are still waiting for it. With this, reports gave out a long list of the company's smartphones that would be getting the Android Nougat.

Samsung To Update Galaxy A3, A5 And A7 With Android Nougat, Current Status Of Each Device Revealed

According to International Business Times, Samsung included its Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 (2016 & 2017) for the sets of devices that would be getting the software update. The company started the Galaxy Series with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a great indicator that it would not be hard for the device from transferring to Android Nougat. Included also in the improvements are Galaxy A8, A9 and A9 Pro 2016.

Aside from that, it was also revealed that its Galaxy S6, S6 Active, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ would be getting the Android Nougat update. Last November, speculations have been reported that Samsung is already on the verge of developing the said update on S6 and S6 Edge first. S6 Active is already going through some series of tests while the S6 Edge+'s information is still not revealed.

Galaxy S7 Series To Experience Android Nougat Update, Selected Locations To Feel It First

Moreover, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge would also have the chance to feel the update, as it is currently in the works in selected regions. Places that would get to experience it first includes the United States, the United Kingdom and China. However, Galaxy S7 Active are not yet updated but is going through some test runs to see if it would be compatible on the Android Nougat.
