There is no doubt that Joker is indeed the most popular villain in the world of DC Comics, even probably the most notorious of all comic book villains. As of now, there are a lot of fans, gamers and non-gamers alike, you have been thinking about the probability of him appearing in "Injustice 2".

But due to the fact that Joker died in the original Injustice game, the likelihood of him getting back to the video game becomes slim. Well, that's the case if he really was killed. But what if he is not really dead all along?

Joker Might Not Be Dead After All

The game made everyone think that Superman punched Joker's chest or ripped out his heart in the process. But because the screen immediately faded to black just as soon as Superman shot him arm forward, there is a possibility that something different happened all along.

But because of the sounds that emanated as the screen turned to black, everyone as lead to believe that Joker died. According to WWG, Joker is just assumed dead, but he is not officially dead.

Everyone should note that the death of Joker by Superman was really very graphic. Yes, there are those that solemnly believe that Joker is outright dead.

Taking Place In A Different Universe

But there are also those that point out the alternate universe theory, where everything happening in "Injustice 2" might be happening in a parallel universe. According to Game Rant, there is still no official word coming from NetherRealm that Joker will be a playable character.

However, there are also 16 playable characters that are confirmed for the upcoming game. But then again, Joker is still nowhere to be found. Even though Joker is really a core character in the DC universe, just as much as Superman and Batman, there is still a huge amount of doubt lingering his appearance in "Injustice 2".
