'Yuri!!! On Ice' Season 2 Release Date, Spoilers: Plot Revealed; New Character Coming

"Yuri!!! on Ice" Season 2 spoilers reveal a new character is coming to help Yuri achieve his goal of winning gold in the next Grand Prix season. The finale of "Yuri!!! on Ice" Season 1 ended with Yuri Plisetsky (Yurio), narrowly beating, Yuri Katsuki in the Grand Prix Final. Yuri won silver and was supposed to retire from his career to bring back his coach, Grand Prix Final five-time champion, Victor Nikiforov, back to the ring. However, Yurio urged he wants to compete against Yuri once again.

Yuri decides to compete for one more year and Viktor will coach Yuri and compete at the same time. Yuri moves to St. Petersburg to train with Viktor and Yurio. The pair was also seen skating "Stay Close to Me" together at the exhibition event.

'Yuri!!! On Ice' Season 2 Release Date

The new season of "Yuri!!! on Ice" was hinted after the last episode of Season 1 with the words "See you next level" in the last scene. There is no specific release date yet but Kubo previously hinted it would air sometime in 2017. "Yuri!!! on Ice" is an original anime so there would be no resources for the Season 2 plot. Reports revealed the second installment might take some time. Some fans are speculating it might air around October, the same month the season 1 was released.

The next Grand Prix will be even more intense with Viktor in the competition. The other athletes, especially JJ who had some sort of mental breakdown in the Grand Prix short program is expected to come back in the competition stronger. Meanwhile, with Viktor busy for the competition. There are rumors that he won't be able to handle coaching Yuri alone. There are speculations that a new character will be helping Yuri in the competition in "Yuri!!! on Ice" Season 2.
