The Reason Behind NBA 2K17 Not Allowing A DeMarcus Cousins Trade

Even though DeMarcus Cousins has officially been traded to the Pelicans by the NBA, the basketball simulation game, "NBA 2K17", doesn't seem to approve of it. Just last Monday, DeMarcus Cousins, together with his teammate, Omri Casspi, has just been traded to the Pelicans. They were exchanged for Buddy Hield, Langston Galloway and Tyreke Evans.

Most people agree that the Pelicans had acquired a legit big man in the NBA, in the likes of Cousins. However, the Kings, together with their fans, are unsure of it, as a 23-year-old, two unproven guards and a couple of draft picks were sent as replacement.

Surprising NBA Trade

According to Sports Net, even Isaiah Thomas cannot believe that the trade happened. He even said that it even an NBA video game wouldn't approve of it. And that is just what happened.

The confirmation that Cousins being traded to the Pelicans had indeed instantly created a stir in various headlines all over the globe. Most critics believe that the trade was a poor decision made by the Kings.

Even "NBA 2K17" won't approve of it, and sees it as highly unlikely. In the "NBA 2K17" franchise mode, the general manager of the Kings refuses the trade proposal presented by Tyreke Evans, Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway.

NBA 2K17 Reacts On Cousin Being Traded To The Pelicans

Exchanging them for Cousins and Omri Casspi was just unacceptable even for the game. According to Washington Times, Cousins has a rating of 93 overall in "NBA 2K17".

This is the reason why he is one of the top elite players in the video game, and in the real-life NBA too. Now, he gets to join Anthony Davis who has a overall rating of 94. This also makes them as the second-highest rated pair in the NBA, behind the Warriors' Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry.
