The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been released for a week now and since then, players are discovering many features and content that make the game worthwhile. However, with all the content in the game, it is possible that there may be a lot of hidden treasures that are just waiting to be discovered by the player.

How To Find Hidden Treasure

According to USGamer, the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a massive game that features a lot of content, however Nintendo might have gone the extra mile and placed hidden treasures in the game that are all waiting to be discovered. To discover where these treasures are, players would need to always explore, travel and take chances. These treasures are sometimes under a body of water, on top of trees or somewhere the player doesn't expect to find it, so it's really important that players use their powers whenever they have the chance.

Hidden Treasure Locations In The Great Plateau

An article in Polygon details the exact place where players can find these treasure chests that may contain valuable items. In order to find these chests, players would need to have obtained the Magnesis Rune, Stasis Rune, Cryonis Rune and the Remote Bomb Ability.

The first treasure can be found near the Oman Au Shrine. Specifically, outside of the shrine there is a pond and this is where players need to use the Magnesis Rune to lift the chest that is at the bottom of the pond. Upon opening the chest, the player would get an Amber, which they could sell or craft items with.

The second treasure is just west of the Oman Au Shrine. On the west side, players would find a Bokoblin Camp, where they would need to eliminate all the enemies to get access to the treasure chest containing the Traveler's Sword.

The third treasure and fourth treasure are again near the Oman Au Shrine. This time, the treasures are located on a muddy pond. The third treasure can be obtained by searching for a boulder that is chained to a tree. This is where players need to use the Magnesis Rune to place the boulder at the top of the tree stump, and afterwards, a Korok will appear and give the player a Korok seed that they can use to expand their inventory.

The fourth treasure, however, has two treasure chests that are side by side and can be found on a raised platform at the opposite side of where the tree stump with the boulder is located. The player has two options to get these two chests. First option is to go back to the pond outside of the Oman Au Shrine and use the Magnesis Rune to obtain the plank that is also at the bottom then go back to the ledge leading to the platform and use the plank as a bridge to get across. The second one is to use the Cryonis Rune and make an Ice pillar between the ledge and the platform for Link to jump on to get across. Once at the platform, players just need to open the two chests to get Fire Arrows and Ice Arrows.

In The Forest Of Spirits

Somewhere inside the Forest of Spirits there is a Korok Flower located in the middle of a huge hollow tree stump lying on the ground. Once a player sees the flower, they need to walk on top of it to disappear, and then they'd need to find it and walk over it again. They need to repeat this process until a Korok appears and gives the player a Korok Seed.

Another treasure can be found in a particular area of the Forest of Spirits. Here, players would need to find a small cave. Inside, players will find a Flint that can be used to create fire. This can be particularly handy if the player needs to create his own campfire.

The Temple Of Time And The Areas Nearby

Near the temple, there is a pond nearby where players can see a wall that is composed of loose stone. Specifically, this wall can be seen if the player is on the opposite side of where a sword sits on an outcropping can be seen. Once spotted, all the player needs to do is to drop down and detonate a bomb on the wall. Once opened, players would find a chest containing an Opal inside.

Another treasure chest can be found inside the Temple of Time. This is where players would find a treasure chest containing the Traveler's Bow. The last treasure in the area is found in a structure outside of the temple proper. In the area, players would find a treasure chest that contains Hylian Trousers.

The Jai Baij Shrine And The Areas Nearby

In a pond outside of the Eastern Abbey, there is a treasure chest that can be obtained. Players need to use the Magnesis Rune to life the chest out of the pond to receive an Amber.

Mount Hylia And The Areas Nearby

The first set of treasure chests can be found at the eastern edge of Mount Hylia, there is an area filled with Bokoblins. Here, the player has two options, they could either kill all the Bokoblins to gain access to the chests or they could just simply fire arrows at the ropes that suspend the ramps that lead to the treasure. Once there, players need to open the chests to get five arrows and an Amber.

The second set of treasure chests can be found when players enter the cold Mount Hylia region through the gate by the lake. Instead of turning left, players need to turn right to see a lake. Once there, players need to use the Magnesis Rune to find and obtain two treasure chests.

The third set of treasure chest can be found behind a waterfall. The waterfall can be located by entering Mount Hylia's snowy area from the west. Once here, players need to turn left and follow the path around the lake. Players need to be careful because there are Chuchus roaming the area. Upon reaching a broken bridge, players need to use the Magnesis Rune to lift the metal platform and use it to get across. Once across, turn left and at this point, players need to keep the lake to their right until they reach the waterfall. Behind the waterfall, players can find chests that contain five arrows, a spiked boko bow, five fire arrows and a soldier's broadsword.

Keh Namut Shrine And The Areas Nearby

The first treasure can be found at the bottom of a pond just outside of the Keh Namut Shrine. To get the treasure, players need to use the Cryonis Rune to create a pillar underneath the chest. Once done, players need to jump on the pillar to open the chest and receive an Opal.

The second treasure can be found at a ledge near the shrine. At that area, players can see a large block of ice that they need to melt. Players could either bring a torch to this area, or they could make their own campfire with some wood and a flint. Once done melting the ice, a Korok will appear and give the player a Korok Seed.

A set of treasure chests can be found at an area that is east of Mount Hylia. At this area players would find a blue Bokoblin and a bunch of brown Bokoblins below. Eliminate the blue Bokoblin first to get an Amber from the treasure chest behind it, then eliminate the other Bokoblins below and climb down to open a chest that contains five arrows.

Owa Daim Shrine

A treasure chest can be found in a boulder that is just outside of the Owa Daim Shrine. Use the Stasis Rune on the boulder then use a weapon to crack it open. Inside, players will see a treasure chest that contains a Traveler's Bow.
