Apart from Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus, Summons or Astrals can be your best buddies too. You can call upon them to help you or your team in times of difficult situations. Every astral has a unique trigger before they will appear. Early in the game, you can ask for help from Titan, Ramuh, Shiva, Leviathan and Bahamut. The latest addition is the Carbuncle astral. Final Fantasy XV - How To Get Carbuncle Astral

First and foremost, you have to know that the Carbuncle Astral can only be obtained if you have downloaded the Final Fantasy XV Platinum Demo. For PlayStation 4 players, you can get it here. Once you already have it downloaded on your console, you'll get the Carbuncle astral immediately after starting the game. An on-screen notification will pop up to inform you that you have unlocked a freebie. In a strange case that the Carbuncle does not unlock, you will need to play through the Platinum Demo.

An important note to remember: you cannot summon the Carbuncle astral if you are on Easy Mode although it will appear randomly when playing on higher levels in difficulty setting.
