NES Classic Goes Out-Of-Stock After Being Available For An Hour In GameStop

Just when GameStop made the rare NES Classic Edition console available in bundles on Tuesday, reports have confirmed that it sold out in just over an hour. As what has been expected with any NES Classic restock, it really doesn't take long before they were all gone.

GameStop NES Classic Restock Now Sold Out

GameStop made its restocked NES Classic Edition bundles available through its website at 11:00 A.M. ET on Wednesday. All bundles were already listed in pre-order status and GameStop noted that the company was set to start shipping again on February 1.

Nintendo NES Classic Bundles

According to IBT, there were three kinds of NES Classic Edition bundles made available by GameStop. The most affordable among the three was the NES Classic Edition with Miniboss Wireless Controller and was priced at USD $79.99.

The Miniboss bundles were sold out in just under 30 minutes. The other two, The Nintendo Mini Zelda Bundle and the straightforward NES Classic Edition Bundle, priced at US$124.99 and US$129.99 respectively, were gone completely after only an hour and 20 minutes of availability.

Demands Are Still High For The NES Classic

For now, there's still no word yet when GameStop will be planning to restock Nintendo's in-demand gaming system. Recalling the holiday season, the NES Classic also didn't last long and was constantly under a series of shortages.

Retail stores like Best Buy and Target began selling the elusive console on December 12 at 8:00 A.M. AEDT via their online stores, and the massive amount of traffic that followed actually crashed some of the sites.

In other news, MobilenApps has previously reported that the NES Classic Edition has lately become the main target for hacking due to its inability to provide extra games. About a couple of weeks ago, a YouTuber shared and showed off his Nintendo NES Classic that had a whopping 84 games in his uploaded video.
