Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will reportedly accompany the Nintendo Switch in its March launch. This latest report disputes earlier rumors that the upcoming game is coming out on June.
Japanese Magazine Prediction
Japanese magazine CoroCoro has recently claimed that upcoming Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is coming this "spring". This technically means that the game can possibly come out on March, according to nintendoeverything. Of course, it's also possible that it may also come out on April or May since the two are also spring months.
Laura Dale Backtracks on Release Date
Meanwhile, Laura Dale has issued a recent tweet that refutes his earlier claims on the latest Zelda game release date. The initial prediction was June but Dale now claims that BOTW is coming out along with the Switch on March. He also said that North American customers will get it by that time since the "materials have been finalized." There are also reports that Splatoon will be included as a bundled Switch game.
Nintendo Official Announcement
Nintendo has scheduled a January 12 official announcement for the upcoming Switch game platform. Last year's reveal provided a hint of what the hybrid console and handheld system can do. The second reveal would bring more solid information about the platform. Most of the technical specs are expected to be covered in the second reveal.
It's also quite possible that information on games including Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild are included in the scheduled press conference. Most of Nintendo's game titles are part of the Switch library. Some of the most anticipated titles though are not from Nintendo. Skyrim was included in the first Switch reveal. Unfortunately, both Bethesda and the Japanese game maker have yet to confirm its inclusion. Lots of gaming fans will be waiting for the upcoming press conference hoping to know which games to expect.
