HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero is reportedly releasing this week!
HoYoverse, previously MiHoYo, is the game developer behind popular games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd. In a recent announcement, the publishing company stated that they would launch a new game in addition to their roster.
Zenless Zone Zero is expected to be another anime and open-world themed game that will be released on Friday, May 13.
Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd are the largest and most well-known games under the company, however, HoYoverse has a plethora of games more than that.
'Zenless Zone Zero': What To Expect
Zenless Zone Zero now has a dedicated website of its own that welcomes players to an at-home setup. The webpage centers around a television display from the 70s or 80s with a calendar behind it, crashing out the dates for May and emphasizing the date on the 13th.
The circled date on the 13th is expected to be its release date. On May 8, the Zenless Zone Zero posted a news flash about the game's sub-hollow disaster in a district.
Additionally, there also appears to be a VHS library that appears to be on the right, and posters for what looks to be a crime film are located in the middle of the wall, with something else called "Heartbeat" located on the right, depicting a woman and a dog.
The post reads, "News Flash- Dear citizens, a sub-hollow disaster has occurred in the district you are traveling to. We are playing a special entertainment channel for you to enjoy while you wait.
However, while there isn't much detailed information available, it appears that this is the game that is being jointly produced at HoYoverse's new Montreal-based studio, which opened its doors in January of this year. According to PCGamesN, the game is a little different from Genshin Impact. The game is characterized as a triple-A open-world action-adventure game incorporating shooting-based gameplay within a living, breathing paranormal environment.
As reported by Touch Arcade, in addition, the website's source code contains mentions of a Zenless Zone Zero beta, sign-ups for Zenless Zone Zero, and additional terms associated with HoYoverse. As a follow-up to Honkai Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero will be the developer's first new game in over a year, with a global launch still to come after beta testing.
HoYoverse Delay with Genshin Impact
HoYoverse has recently encountered delays in their most famous game, Genshin Impact. Just before April ended, the game announced that their Version 2.7 update would be delayed. The unexpected delay was caused by the intense lockdown in China, immensely affecting the progress that could have been made.
The Genshin Impact 2.7 is expected to be released somewhere before the end of April or the beginning of May. Unfortunately, HoYoverse tweeted an announcement on April 27, informing its fans about the delay, which they attributed to project progress.
As previously reported, China is currently facing a large COVID-19 outbreak once more. Due to the fact that Hoyoverse is widely known to have a headquarters in the city, the fans were quick to make the connection. Since the beginning of April, the city has been placed on strict lockdown and COVID-19 restrictions.
Yelan and Kuki Shinobu will be present when Genshin Impact 2.7 meets its gamers. Since March, Genshin Impact has announced the primary characters who will be included in the forthcoming update, as well as their own art banners.
Furthermore, the latest update to Genshin Impact version 2.7 is the compensation that the game has been consistently giving to its fans.
