Smartwatches are slowly making their way into people's lives by being more and more developed and more target-specific. There are smartwatches that are solely focused on fitness and there are smartwatches that aim to replace your smartphones. However, since consumers give higher priority to smartphones, there has always been a tough competition between wearables. The smaller demand for wearables might be making competition a bit more difficult between manufacturers.
Nevertheless, this doesn't stop manufacturers from innovating their smartwatch and wearable models. Here are IFA 2016's top 5 wearables in no particular order:
Asus ZenWatch 3
This smartwatch isn't only great specs-wise, it also looks good. It has great batteries and customization buttons too. This Android Wear looks high end and classy but it isn't as expensive as the other high end brands. You can get the Asus ZenWatch 3 from $250 to $280.
Samsung Gear S3
This Tizen based smartwatch cannot be undermined as well. It has GPS, long lasting battery life and LTE connection. TechRadar describes this watch as something that could compete with the premium Apple Watch.
FitBit Charge 2
If you liked the FitBit Charge HR, then you will appreciate the FitBit Charge 2. It has everything you need from a fitness wearable including a heart rate monitor, VO2 Max level monitor, and a large screen so you don't have to squint as you get into your fitness routine. This wearable is only $150.
Withings Steel HR
Not exactly the smartwatch for teenagers who want their watch to notify them of their Instagram notifications, but the Withings Steel HR is still a perfect choice for everyone else. It can track your heart rate and it can even monitor you while you sleep. This smartwatch would cost you about $180
TomTom Touch
TomTom Touch may be a bit similar to FitBit devices but it does have an image of its own. It comes with your typical trackers but it also has the ability to take a holistic look at your body composition. As for the price, TomTom Touch is only at $129.99.
