Nintendo Switch' Up For January Release Date, To Come With Affordable Price

The Nintendo Switch is the first addition to Nintendo's next generation of consoles and is anticipated to be competing with other current-gen consoles, where the Switch can truly make an impact due to its unique features of presenting a high potential towards the way players can casually play a game. Nintendo Switch was officially revealed through a video a few days back. At this point, there is still now signs of when the console will get a release date, though the trailer did mention a March 2017 at the end. However, Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima has mentioned that there will be no updates until January 2017, leading many to speculate that the Switch will be having an early January release date.

January 2017 - a date to look out for

Again, according to the video, the proposed launch date is going to be March 2017, but earlier reports and tweets from credible sources indicate that the Nintendo Switch is planned for January 2017 as the official launch day for PAL regions. With that being said, the official pricing and the video games lineup is still waiting for a more precise disclosure.

Further explanation on the Switch's probably price

But if you would look over the records, Nintendo's Wii was originally priced at $200, its successor, the Wii U rolled out at $300. With that being said, most analysts assume that the Nintendo Switch price may vary from $300 - $400. The Nintendo President himself has already mentioned that they are not planning to sell the console on the loss. This implies that even after a big brief video tease about Nintendo Switch, along with its features and capabilities, there is no word on a price tag for the console.

Game lineups still up in the air

Talking about video game lineups, the only confirmed video game, as of now, that would come along with the Nintendo Switch is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This was prior mentioned by Nintendo. There is a possible method to support older games from predecessor Nintendo platforms through means of a patch. Until then, all remains to be seen for the upcoming console.
