A lot of gamers were waiting on the release of Studio Wildcard's ARK: Survival Evolved since it was announced back in 2015, but now the game is out, and guides have been pouring out online on how to get all the new dinosaurs that appear in the game.
Thanks to iDigitalTimes, players now have some tips on how to nab new creatures in the game like the Troodon. They are considered to be the cousins of the more famous Raptor species and they are a lot smaller, but that doesn't mean that they aren't as dangerous.
The Troodons are also venomous, with poison that can paralyze humans and drain stamina of other creatures. They also have serrated teeth meant for tearing apart their prey -their primary prey being the humans that inhabit the island. The Troodons are also clever when it comes to their hunting. They like to hunt at night where humans are most vulnerable; and they also hunt in packs meaning every encounter with these feathered mini-raptors an in-game nightmare.
Players who want to catch Troodons can do so by taming them through a loyalty system that makes them very tricky. Players can catch them by riding a winged Dino and transporting a bunch of Troodon to a taming pen; players should then feed them some high-level Dodos after nightfall. This method is used in order to gain trust from the Troodon.
Players without pens, however, can still tame them by sending weaker Dinos to fight the Troodon. It is important that the Troodon wins the fights, but prey must fight back in order to raise loyalty. Though they may be hard to catch, there's no doubt Troodons can be very useful once they're tamed.
