With the official announcement of Nintendo Switch finally hitting stores soon, a number of video game titles has also been confirmed for the said new Nintendo console. In fact, Atlus has just revealed that they are working on a new “Shin Megami Tensei” game for Nintendo Switch. In addition to that, another game from the same franchise is in the works for Nintendo 3DS as well in celebration of the game’s 25th anniversary.
On the day that the awaited Nintendo Switch presentation was held, series of trailers were introduced, revealing the various video games lined up for the said gaming console. One of the great surprises was a teaser trailer showcasing a new “Shin Megami Tensei” game from Atlus. The trailers featured an abandoned floor, presumably from an old building that used to be an office, and has rose petals flying over towards familiar demons and heading on to reveal the main character clad in gold and blue armor.
Atlus has stated in a press release that the new “Shin Megami Tensei” game for Nintendo Switch will be a new HD title and as seen in the teaser will finally be in 3D. While the said game is still in its development stages, it has been tentatively named as “Shin Megami Tensie: Brand New Title”. It has been confirmed for Japan but Atlus USA is still waiting for details and confirmation whether or not the said Switch game will head to North America anytime soon.
Atlus has also revealed its project for the franchise’s 25th anniversary just last week and included more announcements. Aside from a Nintendo Switch title, the said developer is actually also working on a “Shin Megami Tensei” game for Nintendo 3DS to commemorate the video game upcoming milestone anniversary, after releasing its first game in October 1992. Atlus has not cleared out though whether the Nintendo 3DS game is the same one for the Nintendo Switch.
